2020 – what a year! Personally, I have found it really draining, so I’ve been pretty quiet on here. Now though I have a couple of weeks to rest and relax, and it’s time to catch up!
What have we got coming up? Space whale cover art for the in-progress “The Shadow Behind the Sun” space-music album! Amplitube 5 first impressions! The Loupedeck! Two new singles this week! Uillean pipes! Short experimental pieces! 4K monitors! Getting sound from your DAW into OBS for video recording!
Let’s start the ball rolling with one of those short experimental pieces, above. Months ago I had all the still images taken and prepared, with the aim of turning them into a short 50 second piece, and finally back in November I got around to writing the music and assembling the video.
Every sound was created using just the PRS CE 24, and it was a lot of fun to write and record! There was no aim other than to make something atmospheric, that covered a range of my favorite sounds and styles that I use this amazing guitar for.
And that’s it for now, short n sweet, because I’ll be back on a regular basis to talk about more of what has been going on over the last couple of months!
